Nigerian Reps Intervene in Detention of NAF Aircraft and Crew in Burkina Faso

The Nigerian House of Representatives has stepped in to address the detention of a Nigerian Air Force C-130 aircraft and its crew in Burkina Faso. Hon.

Ojuawo Rufu Adeniyi clarified that the aircraft made a precautionary landing in Bobo Dioulasso for safety reasons and was not on a mission or involved in intelligence activities. Lawmakers stressed the importance of resolving the issue promptly to uphold Nigeria's diplomatic stance and restore public confidence.

They mandated relevant committees to engage with defense and foreign affairs ministries to ensure a swift resolution.
