Nigerian Resident Doctors Issue 19 Demands to Avert Strike

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has presented 19 demands to the government to prevent an indefinite nationwide strike. Dr.

Muhammad Suleiman, the NARD President, highlighted issues such as outstanding payments totaling N38 billion over 10 years, including salary arrears and allowances. The demands also include immediate payment of outstanding salaries, reinstatement of unjustly terminated doctors, and addressing financial entitlements owed to health workers.

Failure to address these demands could lead to a collapse in the country's public health system.
