CITA Energy MD Advocates Pipeline Restoration for Aviation Fuel Efficiency

Thoma Ogungbangb, the Group Managing Director of CITA Energy, emphasized the significance of restoring a 98-kilometer idle pipeline at Lagos airport to reduce traffic congestion and enhance the aviation fuel supply chain. The pipeline's revival is expected to eliminate the need for surface transportation of aviation fuel, cutting costs and improving safety.

The project aims to save Nigeria millions of dollars by enhancing fuel quality, monitoring depot throughput in real-time, and complying with regulatory storage standards set by the NCAA. Public-private partnerships are crucial for driving infrastructure upgrades and ensuring a reliable fuel supply at competitive prices.
