Returnees, New Comers Light up NPFL With Excitements

The Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) saw returnee clubs Warri Wolves and Wikki Tourists shine in the opening games, signaling an exciting season ahead. Warri Wolves secured a late win against Katsina United, while Wikki Tourists also claimed a victory at home against Plateau United.

Newly promoted team Barau FC Kun Khalifat impressed with a goalless draw in their debut match. Enyimba Aba, Kano Bayelsa United, and Abia Warriors also secured wins on the opening day.

In other matches, El Kanemi Warriors held Bendel Insurance, Abia Warriors defeated Kano Pillars, and Kwara United drew with Ikorodu City. The defending champions, Remo Stars, played a draw against Rivers United.
