Joint Revenue Board Urges Nigerian States to Adopt Harmonized Tax Bill

The Joint Revenue Board (JRB) is calling on Nigerian states to expedite the passage of a harmonized tax levy approval list to promote uniform tax administration. During the 158th meeting held in Abuja, the focus was on enhancing collaboration among revenue authorities to improve tax compliance.

The JRB emphasized the importance of accurate data, improved analytics, and harmonized practices to strengthen Nigeria's tax system and eliminate illegal activities within the revenue value chain. Additionally, the board urged national security agencies to dismantle illegal roadblocks and extortion charges along transport corridors.
