US Congressman Riley Moore Welcomes Pardon of Nigerian Christian Farmer Sentenced to Death

US Congressman Riley Moore has expressed support for the release of Sunday Jackson, a Christian farmer who was sentenced to death for killing a herder in Nigeria. Jackson claimed self-defense during the attack on his home.

Moore had been advocating for Jackson's release for several months and commended the Nigerian government for taking a positive step. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State announced Jackson's pardon, along with others, for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Moore also praised the Nigerian government for its willingness to engage with the US government to improve the country's security situation. He warned that every measure must be taken to ensure the safety of the pardoned Christian farmer.
