Ogoni Groups Endorse Dr Gabriel Pidomson for 2027 Elections
Three Ogoni organizations, namely the National Union of Ogoni Students International (NUOS INTL) USA, the Federation of Ogoni Women Associations (FOWA) USA, and the Ogoni Christian Fellowship (OCF) USA, have formally endorsed Dr Gabriel Pidomson as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the 2027 Rivers State governorship election. The endorsement was announced through a joint statement signed by NUOS INTL USA President Pius Nwinee, Pastor Dr Peter Nkoroken of OCF USA, and Mrs Florence David Gote Abueh of FOWA USA.
The organizations emphasized their commitment to amplifying marginalized voices in the political process and highlighted Pidomson's background as a former Secretary to the State Government and his involvement in conflict resolution and community development. They believe he possesses the necessary qualities to govern a diverse state and called for decentralized governance to ensure equitable development across all communities.
The groups also urged Rivers residents to unite for their collective destiny.
