APC Invites Fubara to Join Party as Emergency Rule Ends in Rivers State

The APC in Rivers State has invited Fubara to join the party as emergency rule ends in March. President Bola Tinubu declared the emergency rule, suspending Fubara, the deputy, Ngozi Odu, and a member of the State House Assembly.

Vice Admiral Ibas (retd) was appointed as the Sole Administrator due to political instability and security concerns. The APC aims to strengthen its position ahead of the 2027 elections by welcoming Fubara.

The party seeks to extend its dominance nationwide and secure political control across the federation. The move comes ahead of Fubara's planned reinstatement ceremony, signaling a strategic political shift in Rivers State.
