Rivers Elders Back Wike, Pledge Support for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

The Rivers State Elder Council, led by Chairman Ferdinand Alabraba, has declared its full support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027. Alabraba announced the council's commitment to working closely with the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory and the emergent Rainbow Coalition in the state.

The 86-year-old elder statesman commended Governor Wike's foresight in aligning with Tinubu's camp early on, highlighting the council's diverse political alliances within the People Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC). The council aims to project Tinubu's reform legacy, particularly in River State, and pledges to mobilize support for his second term bid.
