Rivers Governor Fubara Acknowledges Leaders, Shuns Ibas in Statewide Broadcast

Rivers State Governor Fubara, who was suspended on March 18, 2025, alongside his deputy Ngozi Odu, shunned Vice Admiral Ibas during a statewide broadcast upon his return. Instead of acknowledging Ibas, Fubara expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and key leaders for resolving the state's political crisis.

He also praised Senate President Akpabio, Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, and Minister Nyesom Wike. The Rivers State House Assembly passed a resolution on Vice Admiral Ibas's tenure as Sole Administrator.
