Governor Fubara Shuns Ibas, Pledges Loyalty to Tinubu and Wike in Rivers Crisis Resolution

Governor Fubara of Rivers State suspended alongside his deputy, Ngozi Odu, by President Bola Tinubu on March 18, 2025, declared emergency rule in the state. Upon his return, Fubara shunned Ibas but appreciated Tinubu's intervention.

He thanked Senate President Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen, and Minister Wike for their roles in resolving the crisis. Fubara expressed gratitude for restoring democratic governance and pledged loyalty to Tinubu and Wike.

He emphasized the need for unity and collaboration to move the state forward. The governor promised to resume governance fully and accelerate development projects.
