Tonye Cole Affirms Intent to Run for Rivers Governorship in 2027 Amidst Speculations

Former Rivers State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tonye Cole, has refuted claims of joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and affirmed his intention to run for governorship in 2027. Cole, in an interview on Arise Television, emphasized his commitment to the APC despite his relationship with former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi.

Having previously contested for the Rivers governorship twice unsuccessfully, Cole expressed determination to clinch the position in his third attempt. He acknowledged Amaechi's role in introducing him to politics but affirmed his loyalty to the APC.

Cole's statement comes amidst speculations about his political future and ambitions in Rivers State.
