Minister Wike Praises High Turnout and Conduct of Rivers LG Election

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing local government election in Rivers State. Wike commended the high turnout of voters and the peaceful conduct of the election, emphasizing the importance of community participation in the electoral process.

He addressed journalists after casting his vote at Polling Unit 007 in Ward 9 of Rumuepirikom Kingdom Local Government Area. Wike dismissed fears of the Supreme Court overturning the election results, stating that the people of Rivers State were happy to participate in the democratic process.
