SEGGA Backs Dumo Lulu-Briggs for Rivers Governorship

The South East Good Governance Advocates (SEGGA) endorsed Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the governorship of Rivers State. SEGGA's endorsement followed a thorough evaluation of the political landscape and candidates for the Government House in Port Harcourt.

The group described Lulu-Briggs as a leader with significant experience in business, philanthropy, and community development, positioning him as a credible alternative for steering the state towards stability and prosperity. SEGGA emphasized the need for governance focused on economic growth, youth empowerment, and social cohesion, arguing that Rivers State could no longer tolerate political conflicts and divisive politics.

They praised Lulu-Briggs for his reputation beyond partisan politics and his vision for industrialization, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, technology, and the blue economy. SEGGA also noted the NDC's growing influence as a political force advocating for a new political culture based on accountability and inclusion.
