After a popular clergy in Ondo State, Prophet Samson Oluwamodede, issued an ultimatum to the government, a death trap road in Akure received emergency repairs within 24 hours. The road, described as deplorable, got a temporary fix pending completion.

The Prophet's viral video criticizing the state of the road prompted Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to take action. Residents welcomed the development, highlighting the dangers they faced daily.

Despite the quick response, some criticized the governor for his delayed intervention. The road, particularly within Akure metropolis, had been a source of concern for residents, with reports of frequent accidents and fatalities due to its poor state.
