Popular Technician Idris Abiodun Clement Killed in Ondo

Idris Abiodun Clement, a 47-year-old technician specializing in refrigeration and air conditioning, was killed during a robbery in the Shagari Area of Akure, Ondo State, early on Saturday morning. The attack occurred around 1:00 AM when a gang of three to four armed robbers invaded the community, targeting at least two houses.

During the incident, Clement attempted to defend his family against the attackers, who were heavily armed with guns, axes, and cutlasses. He was shot and subsequently collapsed; he was rushed to the hospital but lost too much blood and was later confirmed dead by doctors.

His son, Abdulfatai Clement, described the tragic loss as devastating, while close friend Hakeem remembered him as a humble and hardworking man. The Ondo State Police Command confirmed that suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery and murder, with ongoing investigations led by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
