Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Ballon d’Or of All Time Award

Cristiano Ronaldo has been recognized for having the greatest Ballon d’Or triumph in history, with his 2008 victory named the Ballon d’Or of All Time (B.O.A.T). This award was introduced by the Ballon d’Or organizers in 2026, allowing fans to vote for the most outstanding triumph among players who have won the prestigious award multiple times.

Ronaldo's first Ballon d’Or win came while he was playing for Manchester United, following a remarkable season where he helped the club secure the Premier League and Champions League titles. The voting for the B.O.A.T award opened on 1 October and closed on 27 October, with fans paying €1 to cast their votes.

Although Ronaldo won this recognition, it does not come with a physical trophy. The announcement of the award followed the 2026 Ballon d’Or win by England captain Harry Kane, marking him as the first Englishman in 25 years to claim the men’s award.

This latest recognition adds to Ronaldo's illustrious career and reignites the debate over his rivalry with Messi, who holds the record for the most Ballon d’Or wins with eight.
