Rotary Club of Oluyole-Estate Hosts Quiz for Ibadan Schools

The Rotary Club of Oluyole-Estate organized a career talk and quiz competition for students from five secondary schools in Ibadan, held at The Light Academy. This event was part of Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy Month, aimed at promoting literacy, academic excellence, and informed educational choices.

President Rotarian Kehinde Adeoye emphasized the transformative power of education and encouraged students to remain curious and committed to their learning. The career talk was delivered by Rotarian (Mrs) Mariam Fadeyi-Lawal, who advised students to cultivate a reading culture and pursue self-reliant career paths.

The quiz competition tested participants in Mathematics, English Language, Science, and Current Affairs, judged by Rotarians Olaide Olayiwola, Akinloye Adeyeye, and Omowunmi Adeyemo. TMM Model School emerged as the overall winner, followed by MashaAllah College in second place and Ibadan Boys High School in third.

All participating schools received recognition and prizes for their efforts. Pastor (Mrs) Stella Oloruntowoju, the Proprietress of The Light Academy, expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club for hosting the event.
