Sacking Tinubu: How Opposition Coalition Can Be Broken, Lamido

Former governor of Jigawa and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Sule Lamido, revealed that the opposition coalition aiming to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election could be broken. Lamido highlighted that the movement lacks the strong political institution that brought the ruling Progressives Congress (APC) to power in 2015.

He compared the current coalition to the cohesive and organized structure of the 2014 coalition that included parties like the Action Congress (ACN) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC). Lamido criticized the 2014 coalition for allegedly using intimidation and coercion to gain power.

He also questioned the impact of the current opposition movement, noting that Nigeria has not seen significant improvements since the APC took power in 2015. This analysis comes amidst speculations about the potential support for Tinubu in the upcoming election, with Governor Uba Sani suggesting that it may be challenging for Nigerian.
