Sanwo-Olu Inaugurates LSSTF Board for Sports Growth

On February 18, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State inaugurated the newly formed board of the Lagos State Sports Trust Fund (LSSTF). He tasked the board with deploying resources to foster the growth and development of grassroots sports and school sports across the state's divisions.

The LSSTF board is chaired by Enitan Oshodi, the former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, who is also the current President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ITTF Africa). Other board members include Olaposi Agunbiad (Executive Secretary/CEO), Olabod Agoro, Adeniyi Adekoya, Gbolahan Onibuj, Jubril Gawat, Kikelomo Bolarinwa, Olayemi Sarumi, Lekan Fatodu, Moshood Ajid, and Engr.

Ibrahim Adigun. During the inauguration at Lagos House, Marina, Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of leveraging contacts and professional skills to build a robust sports institution.

He urged the board to attract private sector support and enhance facilities for athletes, noting that the government has invested significantly in sports, with a focus on creating sustainable development pathways.
