Sanwo-Olu Distributes 20,000 Food Packs for Tinubu's Birthday

On Sunday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State distributed 20,000 food packs to residents as part of the celebration for President Bola Tinubu’s 74th birthday. The initiative, disclosed by Sanwo-Olu's special adviser on media, Gboyega Akosile, aimed to mark the occasion with a gesture of goodwill.

During the event held at the Blue Roof Event Centre, Sanwo-Olu read an open letter encouraging Lagos residents to celebrate Tinubu, whom he described as an extraordinary leader. He acknowledged the ongoing economic reforms and urged residents to remain hopeful as they begin to see improvements after enduring difficult times.

The distribution took place across 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas, ensuring inclusivity. Gbenga Omotoso, the commissioner for information, emphasized the significance of the day, while Tajudeen Afolabi highlighted the administration's commitment to residents' welfare.

The event was well-received by beneficiaries, who expressed appreciation for the gesture amid current economic challenges.
