FG Supports IDPs with Cash and Food for Tinubu's Birthday

To mark President Bola Tinubu's 74th birthday, the Federal Government donated cash and food items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at the Kuchingoro camp in Abuja. The event, held over the weekend, was led by Bernard Doro, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.

Doro reaffirmed the administration's commitment to improving the welfare and recovery of vulnerable Nigerians. He emphasized that humanitarian interventions should extend beyond temporary relief, aiming for long-term stability and self-reliance.

Each of the 300 families received N10,000 as a token of support. The Kuchingoro IDP camp, established in 2014, currently hosts 261 households, totaling approximately 1,500 individuals, primarily from Gwoza in Borno State and parts of Adamawa State.

Doro highlighted the impact of the government's efforts and noted that 50 elderly women received bedding materials, while 50 selected students received educational materials to support their studies.
