Sanwo-Olu Congratulates Rukayat Suleimon on Gold Medal

On Monday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State issued a statement congratulating Rukayat Suleimon for becoming the first female blind sambist to win a gold medal at the World Sambo Cup held in Yerevan, Armenia. Suleimon, who competed in the women's 54kg category, triumphed over opponents from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Sanwo-Olu praised Suleimon for her pioneering role as a female sambist in an international tournament organized by the International Sambo Federation, highlighting her achievement as a historic moment for Nigeria.
