Sanwo-Olu Calls for Unity Against Terrorism in Nigeria

On Sunday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and security agencies in confronting terrorism and security challenges across the country. Sanwo-Olu described recent security incidents as unfortunate but not insurmountable, emphasizing that Nigerians must not allow criminal elements to weaken their resolve or diminish confidence in the nation's future.

He urged citizens to rise above partisan considerations and support security efforts, stressing that terrorism does not discriminate based on political affiliation, ethnicity, or religion. The governor expressed sympathy for the victims of recent attacks and encouraged prayers for affected communities.

He noted that Nigeria has overcome severe challenges throughout its history and expressed confidence that the country would emerge stronger from the current security situation. Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed the need for citizens to remain vigilant and actively support security agencies, emphasizing that the battle against terrorism requires collective effort and cooperation.
