Sanwo-Olu: Nigeria Will Overcome Security Challenges

On a recent occasion, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State asserted that Nigeria will not bow to terrorism and will overcome its security challenges. This declaration came after the Nigerian Police Force successfully rescued Olaid Busayo Adegok, the younger sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12-year-old twin sons, John Paul and Peter Paul, who were abducted in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The rescue operation took place around 7:30 PM, during which two suspects were neutralized in a gun duel, and two firearms were recovered. Sanwo-Olu emphasized the need for national unity and collective responsibility in the fight against insecurity, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith and support for the armed forces.

He noted that the country has faced various challenges throughout its history but has always emerged stronger. Additionally, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sundai Anek reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Air Force to ensure the safe rescue of abducted individuals.
