Saraki Accused of Acting as Wike’s Land Agent Amid PDP Crisis

Umar Sani, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has accused former Senate President Bukola Saraki of secretly acting as a land agent for Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in Abuja. This allegation arose during an interview with Trust TV, where Sani reacted to Saraki's recent comments regarding the leadership crisis affecting the PDP.

Sani criticized Saraki's intervention, arguing that it was unnecessary and did not aid in resolving the internal disputes within the party. He suggested that Saraki's comments indicate a lack of neutrality and may align him with a faction loyal to Wike.

Sani emphasized that Saraki's advice is misplaced and not needed, especially given the ongoing legal disputes within the party, which are being handled at the highest judicial level, including the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The PDP continues to face internal tensions due to disagreements among its leadership as it prepares for future elections.
