Former Governors Forum to Inaugurate Meeting in Abuja

The inaugural meeting of the Former Governors Forum is scheduled to take place on April 4, 2023, in Abuja. This initiative, announced by the forum's national coordinator, Osaro Onaiwu, aims to institutionalize the collective experiences of former state executives to aid in national development.

The meeting will gather prominent former governors, including Bukola Saraki, Victor Attah, Olusegun Osoba, Olusegun Mimiko, Ibrahim Shema, and Ikedi Ohakim, among others. Onaiwu emphasized that the forum is designed as a non-partisan platform to engage with national issues and bridge the gap between past leadership experiences and current governance challenges.

The forum seeks to establish a structured strategy to define the role of former governors in contributing to national discourse and policy development, reinforcing their commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and supporting a stable and prosperous Nigeria.
