Saudi Airlines to Resume Jeddah-Abuja Flights by 2027

The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef Albalawi, announced that Saudi Arabian Airlines will restart flights between Jeddah and Abuja in January 2027. This disclosure was made during a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohd Idris, on Wednesday.

The visit aimed to strengthen the existing relationship between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria and enhance opportunities for collaboration, particularly in economic, political, and security issues. Albalawi emphasized the importance of the Saudi Embassy's role in correcting misinformation about Saudi Arabia and promoting the historical relationship with Nigeria.

Additionally, the Nigerian government is set to sign three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Saudi government, focusing on cooperation in media exchange, radio and television collaboration, and audiovisual media. The Minister of Information indicated that further meetings with Saudi counterparts would be organized to strengthen these agreements.
