Panic in Osun State as Schools Close Over Bandit Fears

In Osun State, schools were closed and students were seen fleeing in panic due to fears of bandit attacks. The situation began in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government, where a letter from suspected bandits was dropped at a public school.

This led to widespread fear, prompting the closure of schools in Ikirun and extending to areas such as Obaagun, Ire Eripa, Otan Ayegbaju, and Ila Orangun. Schools including the Second Grammar School in Obaagun and Baptist Day School in Ire Eripa were closed as a precaution.

Parents were called to pick up their children from private schools in Osogbo as the fear of banditry escalated in the region.
