Ogun State's Second Batch of Hajj Pilgrims Arrives Safely

The second batch of Ogun State pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj arrived at Gateway International Airport, Iperu, on Friday at 5:12 PM, consisting of 345 pilgrims who were transported directly to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, aboard an Airbus A330 operated by Flyna. The first batch had previously arrived at 10 PM.

Alhaji Shamsideen Apelogun, the Amirul Hajj for the 2026 pilgrimage, described the direct transport from the airport to Saudi Arabia as a historic achievement for Ogun State. He expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, who was present throughout the pilgrimage stages in Medina and Makkah, ensuring the welfare of the pilgrims.

Apelogun commended the exemplary conduct of the Ogun State pilgrims, noting their discipline and adherence to regulations, which earned commendations from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged the pilgrims to maintain patience and discipline during the pilgrimage and thanked Allah for granting them a successful journey.
