Ogun State Welcomes 345 Hajj Pilgrims Back Home

On Thursday, the first batch of 345 Hajj pilgrims from Ogun State returned to Nigeria, landing at Gateway International Airport in Iperu Remo at 8:41 PM. This group included 151 males and 194 females who successfully completed their pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, visiting holy cities Mecca and Medina.

The return marks a significant milestone as it is the first direct international flight received by the airport from Saudi Arabia. Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, represented by Secretary to the State Government Mr.

Sheikh Iskeel Lawal Sugar, a leader among the pilgrims, expressed gratitude for the support provided by the governor throughout their journey. Pilgrims Alhaji Ayomid Adetunji and Alhaja Tawa Balogun also thanked the governor for ensuring their welfare during the pilgrimage.
