ASUSS President Advocates for Education Collaboration

Sola Adigun, the National President of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), advocated for increased collaboration among teachers, parents, and government to foster student development and improve the education sector. During an interactive multicast in Ado Ekiti, he urged teachers to remain dedicated and impactful.

Adigun appealed to parents to fulfill their responsibilities in guiding their children and encouraged students to focus on their education while avoiding social vices. He commended Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his administration's various educational interventions, including improvements in teachers' welfare, infrastructure, and timely salary payments.

Adigun highlighted the provision of transportation for teachers and students as a significant relief following the removal of fuel subsidy. He called for ongoing government support, particularly in teacher training and the consistent payment of leave bonuses to enhance teachers' welfare and working conditions.
