Arrests Made in Connection to ARISE News Anchor's Death

Security forces have arrested 12 individuals suspected of involvement in the armed robbery incident that led to the death of ARISE News Channel anchor, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, in Abuja. The arrests were announced by the Defense Headquarters, with suspects identified from various locations including Katsina and Kaduna states.

The funeral rites for the late journalist are scheduled to commence on October 12 in Abuja, with services and interment planned in Anambra State. Among the arrested suspects are Shamsudeen Hassan, Hassan Isah, and Abubakar Alkamu, indicating progress in the investigation into the tragic incident.

The security forces are working to ensure justice is served for the victim and bring the perpetrators to account.
