Police Update: Arrests Made in Arise News Anchor's Murder Case

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command disclosed that an armed gang, responsible for the murder of Arise News anchor, sourced weapons from an arm dealer operating in Niger Republic. Following the arrest of 12 suspects linked to the September 29, 2025, robbery and killing at Unique Apartments in Abuja, the police spokesperson revealed that the gang acquired weapons, including rifles and pistols, from suppliers across the border.

The arrested suspects confessed to multiple armed robberies in the Federal Capital Territory, including the fatal attack at Katampe Extension. The police investigation confirmed the involvement of the suspects in the journalist's murder, shedding light on the criminal activities of the gang.
