Nigerian Senate Confirms Three Ambassadorial Nominees and NERC Appointments

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed three non-career ambassadorial nominees, including Kayode Ogun, Aminu Dalhatu Jigawa, and Emmanuel Ok, after a review by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs. The Chairman of the Committee, Sani Bello, highlighted the nominees' expertise in international diplomacy during the plenary in Abuja.

Prominent figures like Godswill Akpabio and Bola Tinubu commended the swift confirmation process. Additionally, the Senate also confirmed two appointments to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC): Aisha Kanti Bello and Dr.

Animashaun Olayinka.
