Nigerian Senate Queries Education Minister and WAEC Over SSCE Guidelines

The Nigerian Senate has summoned the Education Minister and WAEC officials to explain the newly introduced guidelines for the 2025-2026 SSCE exams. Senators raised issues with the sudden implementation, lack of student preparation, and the need for exemptions until 2027-2028.

Criticisms were also directed at the lack of reform plans and support for teachers and facilities. The Senate has committed to further investigation within two weeks.
