Senator Abbo Exits ADC Amid Party Crisis in Adamawa

Senator Abbo has officially announced his departure from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing a deepening crisis within the party's Adamawa State chapter as the reason for his exit. This announcement was made on Monday morning, just 48 hours after Aishatu Dahiru, also known as Binani, withdrew from the party.

Reports indicate that a mass resignation occurred within the ADC's Adamawa State bloc, which is loyal to Binani. This group, drawn from the three senatorial zones of the state, accused the party's leadership of undermining democratic principles.

A communiqué issued after a stakeholders' meeting held at the residence of Hon. Mijiyewa Umaru Kugama described the central crisis as a result of flaws in the recent party congress.

Senator Abbo's move is significant as it reflects ongoing tensions within the ADC in Adamawa State.
