Senator Karimi Praises Tinubu on Road Contracts

Senator Sundai Karimi, representing Kogi West, commended President Bola Tinubu for his prompt action in re-awarding the contract for the Lokoja-Abuja highway, which is part of a broader initiative involving an estimated total cost of N1.2 trillion for major road contracts across the country. Karimi's remarks followed a Federal Executive Council meeting on March 4, 2026, where the decision was made.

He emphasized the need for urgent rehabilitation of several other roads in Kogi State, specifically mentioning the Kabba-Isanlu, Egb-Ilorin, Kabba-Iyara, Omuo Ekiti, and Aiyetoro-Gbedde roads, among others. Karimi's statement was officially signed and made available to journalists in Lokoja on Friday.
