Tinubu's N334bn Kano Road Project Approved by FEC

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf commended President Bola Tinubu after the Federal Executive Council approved a N334 billion upgrade for the Kano-Kongolom road project. This significant infrastructure initiative, announced in a statement by Yusuf's spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa, is viewed as a historic breakthrough that will transform Kano's road network and position the state as a commercial logistics hub in Northern Nigeria.

The project will cover 132 kilometers and include the construction of a three-lane concrete carriageway equipped with solar-powered street lights and modern CCTV surveillance systems. The Kano-Kongolom corridor will link Kano with Jigawa and Katsina states, creating a strategic economic route for trade, agriculture, and industrial growth.

Governor Yusuf emphasized that this project reflects President Tinubu's commitment to developing Kano and the wider Northwest region, promising to reduce travel time and improve road safety for users. He also assured that the Kano State government would fully cooperate to create an enabling environment for contractors to ensure timely project completion.
