Seplat Energy Champions Education at ASIS 2026 Summit

Seplat Energy Plc, a leading Nigerian indigenous energy company, reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing education and developing Africa's workforce at the 2026 Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS). The company sponsored a plenary session titled “Powering Africa’s Future: Private Sector Leadership in Education Transformation,” which gathered policymakers, business leaders, and education stakeholders to discuss strategic partnerships and investments in STEAM education.

Mr. Roger Brown, CEO of Seplat Energy, represented by Chioma Afe, Director of External Affairs and Social Performance, stated that the partnership with ASIS aims to drive impactful educational initiatives.

Seplat Energy has been actively investing in educational development in Edo, Delta, and Imo states, with plans to extend efforts to Akwa Ibom State. These initiatives include scholarships, teacher empowerment programs, and the Seplat Innovation Programme, which encourages students to develop clean energy solutions.

Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, Minister of State for Education, praised Seplat Energy for its contributions to the education sector.
