Seplat Targets 1 Bcf/d Gas Production by 2030 for Nigerian Prosperity

Seplat Energy Plc, a leading Nigerian energy company, aims to increase domestic gas production to over 1 billion cubic feet per day by 2030, linking Nigeria and Africa's prosperity to gas development. The company plans heavy investments in gas processing capacity, with a focus on the domestic market, including the ANOH gas plant set to commence operations by the year's end.

At the Africa Energy Week, Seplat's Director of New Energy, Okechukwu Mba, highlighted the importance of developing commercially viable domestic gas markets to boost power supply and drive economic growth in Nigeria. Stakeholders are urged to address challenges in the gas-to-power value chain and ensure the sector's sustainability for enhanced energy access and economic progress.
