Nigeria Targets 10bn SCF Daily Gas Output by 2030 in Energy Reform Drive

The Nigerian federal government aims to achieve a daily gas output of 10 billion standard cubic feet (SCF) by 2030. This target was reiterated during a strategic meeting with Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) in Abuja.

The commitment to becoming a global energy hub involves ongoing reforms to boost gas production, enhance investment climate, and address infrastructure gaps in the sector. Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, highlighted the government's efforts to stabilize the economy, encourage private sector growth, and attract investments, including recent agreements like the Deepwater deal with TotalEnergies.
