AC Milan in Talks with Pochettino After Allegri Exit

AC Milan has initiated discussions to hire Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager after the dismissal of Massimiliano Allegri. Allegri was sacked due to the team's failure to qualify for the next season's UEFA Champions League, finishing fifth in Serie A and suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Cagliari in their final match of the season.

Pochettino, who is currently the head coach of the U.S. Men's National Team preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is believed to be a strong candidate for the role at AC Milan once his contract with U.S.

Soccer expires. Pochettino previously managed Chelsea, where he left at the end of the 2023-24 season after guiding the team to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League.

His managerial career includes successful stints at Paris Saint-Germain, where he won the Ligue 1 title, and Tottenham Hotspur, where he led the club to the UEFA Champions League final in 2019.
