AC Milan in Talks with Pochettino for Manager Role

AC Milan has initiated talks with USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino regarding the managerial position at the club after the recent dismissal of Massimiliano Allegri. The discussions took place last week as AC Milan seeks to rebuild following their failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the second consecutive year.

Pochettino, who is currently under contract with the US Soccer Federation until the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, is considered a strong candidate for the role. The club's sporting director Igli Tare, chief executive officer Giorgio Furlani, and technical director Geoffrei Moncada are involved in the negotiations.

Pochettino's potential appointment is also linked to his relationship with US captain Christian Pulisic and midfielder Yunus Musah. The club is looking to finalize a new manager by September 2024, as they aim to strengthen their position in Italian football.
