APC Defends Service-Wide Vote Against Atiku's Claims

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to allegations made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who claimed that the Service-Wide Vote was established to finance President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign. In a statement signed by National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, the APC described Atiku's claims as baseless and mischievous, asserting that he failed to provide factual support for his allegations.

The APC clarified that the Service-Wide Vote is a long-established budgetary mechanism used for government-wide obligations and unforeseen expenditures. The party rejected the notion that the fund is a secret account or illegal slush fund, labeling Atiku's assertions as reckless.

Furthermore, the APC accused Atiku, a former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), of lacking a clear vision for Nigeria despite his multiple presidential bids. The APC defended the Tinubu administration by citing various programs aimed at improving education, infrastructure, and living conditions for Nigerians.
