APC Rejects Atiku's Claims on 2026 Service-Wide Vote

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed allegations made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who claimed that the 2026 Service-Wide Vote (SWV) was designated to finance President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign. In a statement issued by APC's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party described Atiku's allegations as baseless and lacking evidence.

Atiku had previously stated that the SWV increased dramatically from N638 billion in 2025 to N12.8 trillion in 2026, which he characterized as a significant example of fiscal opacity. Morka countered that the SWV is a legitimate budgetary mechanism for addressing government obligations and unforeseen expenditures, not a secret fund as alleged by Atiku.

The APC criticized Atiku for making unsubstantiated claims and accused him of failing to present a coherent vision for Nigeria's development. The party asserted that President Tinubu is focused on implementing policies to enhance the economy and welfare of Nigerians.
