ADC Criticizes Nigerian Government Over Linking Trump to Terror Attacks

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly criticized the Nigerian government, particularly Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Georg Akume, for attributing recent terrorist attacks in Kebbi and Kwara states to comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The ADC described Akume's comments as amateurish and a shameless attempt by the APC-led federal government to deflect accountability. The party highlighted the worsening insecurity in Nigeria and questioned the government's approach to addressing the real causes of insecurity, emphasizing domestic negligence and incompetence.

Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi of the ADC insisted that the government's attribution of international security breakdown to Trump's comments was unfounded and called for genuine security strategies to be implemented.
