Shettima Attends 2026 Jigawa Investment Summit

On Wednesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived at Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi International Airport in Dutsinma, Jigawa State, to participate in the 2026 Jigawa Investment Summit, which is scheduled to take place from July 1 to July 2. He was welcomed by Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, Deputy Governor Aminu Gumel, and Kano State Deputy Governor Murtala Garo, along with other state officials.

Shettima is expected to declare the summit's theme, "Unlock Opportunities to Drive Sustainable Growth for a Better Jigawa." The summit aims to showcase Jigawa State's economic potential to local and international investors and reflect the commitment of the state government to economic transformation and job creation. Shettima is anticipated to lead discussions involving policymakers, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and industry leaders on investment opportunities in critical sectors of the state's economy.

The summit will focus on agriculture, renewable energy, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), light manufacturing, education, and healthcare.
