VP Shettima Heads to 80th UNGA Session in New York

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed from Abuja to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. Representing President Bola Tinubu, Shettima will deliver Nigeria's national statement and participate in the general debate alongside world leaders.

The UNGA session, running from Monday, September 22, to Sunday, September 28, will mark the 80th anniversary of the United Nations. Shettima is also set to announce Nigeria's new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to the Paris Agreement during a special event on climate change.
