Shettima Launches 2nd Jigawa Economic Investment Summit

On Wednesday, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, inaugurated the 2nd Jigawa State Economic and Investment Summit at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Dutsin-Ma. Shettima urged local and international investors to recognize the advantages Jigawa State offers, highlighting its potential for strong returns in agriculture, mining, and commercial industries.

He praised Governor Malam Umar Namadi for his transformative work in agriculture and road construction, while also addressing the critical need for infrastructure to sustain business investments. Shettima assured investors of support from both the federal and state governments, emphasizing the importance of individual and corporate investments in Jigawa for job creation and economic growth.

Governor Namadi outlined key reforms that make Jigawa an investment-ready state, including plans to construct hundreds of kilometers of roads, upgrade Dutsin-Ma International Airport to a cargo airport, enhance security, and boost power generation supply.
